Who are we?
The Farmers
Ben and Kate Farmer live on Elba West Farm in Gretna, Virginia. Ben, a former race car driver, and Kate, former equestrian, turned their skill sets to cater to livestock showing. Their children Charlie and Helen Katherine show goats, Angus cattle, and pigs. While seem to be the families first love, they enjoy all aspects of livestock showing no matter the species.
The Motleys
The Moltey Family lives in Chatham, Virginia and shows lambs, goats, cattle, and pigs. They're three girls; Gabrielle, Kaylee, and McKinley each gravitate to different species but all share in the excitement of each other's projects.
The Paris Family
The Paris family are the lamb family of Chatham, Virginia. Their love shared by their grandfather spreads through them with their goals and production. Both Nathan and Suzanna are great showman and youth leaders in the community.
The Van Der Hydes
James and Tasha leaned on a rich history of dairy farming as they embarked on showing livestock years ago. Today their children, London and Mason, have taken on breeding their own show goats and are interested in breeding their own show pigs. Determination is the definition of this hardworking family.
The Wydners
Freddie and Amanda are deep rooted production farmers living right between Gretna and Chatham, Virginia. Their three children, Preston, Ginny Gray, and Abby Lane have the spirit and grit for showing livestock. Showing goats and most recently pigs, has created more opportunities for these eager youth to learn.
The Hagoods
New to our committee in 2024, Ryan and Lauren are excited to grow as they start their children's livestock path. Their girls, Caroline & Kate, showed goats in 2023 on the Virginia Showmasters Circuit. They are excited for more shows and new adventures this year and they are sure to keep any new exhibitors to BOTB entertained!
